The purpose of this page is to challenge me to open my eyes and truly see the world which surrounds me. So often we trudge though our daily routine, too busy or preoccupied to notice the little miracles happening all around us. I hope to capture, through the lens of a camera, glimpses of my sometimes mundane but glorious little world. I will attempt to post one snapshot each day to share with you. Enjoy!

I would love to have a full day at the spa! These guys don't seem to share my enthusiasm. It was another traumatic day getting snipped, clipped, trimmed, cleaned and cut..... all the while thinking their Mom would never return to rescue them. Despite what they think, I do believe I have found their new regular groomer and occasional doggy daycare.

Just a few more daffodils hanging on around the property. Most of them are the traditional yellow except two of these growing in the side bed. I think they were an afterthought, but I love the coral and yellow interior on the white petals. I even got the sinewy spider web to glisten in the sunshine.

Here's a shot of the back of the house from down at the bottom of the hill. The best part about this picture is the sun shining through! It didn't last long though...

It's been another one of those rainy days around here. For just a brief moment the skies cleared up and the sun peeked out so I took a few pictures. This is from one of the flower boxes that line our side and back patio. Even the heavy rains haven't discouraged these flowers.

While running errands yesterday I came across these giant strawberries. The funny thing was their location.... I found them in the "candy rack" at the checkout lane. I handed them to the cashier saying someone must have abandoned them but asked how much they cost because I wanted them myself. She proceeded to explain to me that they place berries and other fresh fruits near the checkout lanes as "healthy impulse buy" alternatives. Very clever. And an amazingly sweet and juicy start for my day!

Washington is known for it's lush green bushes and year round green trees. If you look closely though, these trees are not green with an abundance of new foliage. That would be.... moss. You might also notice it's raining again. It's not called the Evergreen State for nothing!
