The purpose of this page is to challenge me to open my eyes and truly see the world which surrounds me. So often we trudge though our daily routine, too busy or preoccupied to notice the little miracles happening all around us. I hope to capture, through the lens of a camera, glimpses of my sometimes mundane but glorious little world. I will attempt to post one snapshot each day to share with you. Enjoy!

May 4, 2011

This is for my friend Khristie who (still!) lives in Belgium, but swore on her sons' lives I would fall head over heals in love with Hawaii.  And, yes, I do love Hawaii, but....  Rain, rain, go away!   Quit with the nasty electrical storms (we've been told so many times now that these are so rare, NEVER happen here!), stop the erratic, swirly, whipping winds that blow the leaves back into my clean garage (Okay, Dave's clean garage), no more muggy, sticky afternoons and I'm tired of soggy shoes from running through the raging rivers that are flooding the streets!  Besides all that, I do love Hawaii!  The snapshot is of some of the waterfalls that flow off the Ko'Olau Mountains every time it rains here.
Kaneohe, Hawaii
