The purpose of this page is to challenge me to open my eyes and truly see the world which surrounds me. So often we trudge though our daily routine, too busy or preoccupied to notice the little miracles happening all around us. I hope to capture, through the lens of a camera, glimpses of my sometimes mundane but glorious little world. I will attempt to post one snapshot each day to share with you. Enjoy!

November 20, 2011

Sam and I camped out last night at the Botanical Garden in Kaneohe.  We went on a 3 mile hike, pulled weeds for a service project, played games, sang songs, roasted marshmallows over a campfire and had a great Cub Scout time.  Here's a close up shot of the Ko'oluas taken from our meeting pavilion.  The cloud covered peaks are now lush and a vibrant green due to the recent rains.  I think the majority of precipitation fell last night.  On us.  In our cozy, little two-man tent.  A HUGE thank you to Paul and Rachael Mancinelli for hot water and coffee!
