The purpose of this page is to challenge me to open my eyes and truly see the world which surrounds me. So often we trudge though our daily routine, too busy or preoccupied to notice the little miracles happening all around us. I hope to capture, through the lens of a camera, glimpses of my sometimes mundane but glorious little world. I will attempt to post one snapshot each day to share with you. Enjoy!

The family that owns the house with the star fruit tree also have this bizarro tree in there yard.  It's called the Sausage Tree.  I kid you not.    It originates from Africa and blooms clusters of beautiful, fragrant cup size blossoms only at night.  The long sausage shaped fruit (hence the name) are poisonous to humans, but are a real treat for monkeys, elephant, hippopotami, wild boar, giraffe and porcupine.  The boys say it should be called something such as "Giant Peanut Tree."
