The purpose of this page is to challenge me to open my eyes and truly see the world which surrounds me. So often we trudge though our daily routine, too busy or preoccupied to notice the little miracles happening all around us. I hope to capture, through the lens of a camera, glimpses of my sometimes mundane but glorious little world. I will attempt to post one snapshot each day to share with you. Enjoy!

This is my neighbors fig tree.  I love figs.  When we lived in Jacksonville (Florida) we had one of these in our backyard.  It was about 30 years old and produced pounds and pounds of figs every year.  I quickly learned how to cook with and preserve figs during that tour.  Fortunately for me, just yesterday a friend shared with me some clippings from her tree so that I can grow these juicy little morsels in my own yard.  Thank you Christy!
