The purpose of this page is to challenge me to open my eyes and truly see the world which surrounds me. So often we trudge though our daily routine, too busy or preoccupied to notice the little miracles happening all around us. I hope to capture, through the lens of a camera, glimpses of my sometimes mundane but glorious little world. I will attempt to post one snapshot each day to share with you. Enjoy!

May 10, 2012

Early evening as the sun was setting, the boys and I attended the Change of Command for our friends, the Revor Family.  This was a significant change for many reasons.  First, the Lucky Red Lions (HMH-363) had just come to the end of a tumultuous time with difficult work-ups, various detachments,  misfortunate mishaps, devastating loss of crewmates and helicopters, a long deployment and a joyful homecoming.  Second, the CH-53D helicopter flown by this squadron has been the Marine Corps' workhorse aircraft providing support around the world for more than 30 years and will be replaced by the new Osprey.  HMH-363 was redesignated the Lucky Red Lions of VMM-363.  Congratulations Mark and Beth on a job well done.  Fair winds and following seas.... Montgomery, Alabama will never be the same again!
