Wow... I'm late posting this today! I've been preoccupied with planning our big island trip for the summer. Yes, Girlie, you are included! Anyway, this is for my friend Kristie B who just moved away from Hawaii. The Plumeria is seen all over the islands and in a full range of colors. This is the Singapore variety. Known as the easy-to-string blossom, the plumeria is grown commercially for lei making and are incredibly easy to grow from cuttings. The two in my backyard were broken branches from the neighbors tree which I just shoved into the sand.
